Career Summary
Computer Scientist with over a decade and a half of experience as an
applications and systems programmer and in customer and multivendor
systems support in both pre-sales and post-sales environments, and in
both national and multi-national organizations. Advanced skills and
experience in dozens of programming environments includes
UNIX/X-WINDOWS and MacOS. Extensive programming experience includes C
and Lisp. Experience with symbolic and object oriented programming
since 1984. Designed and implemented wide-area point-to-point
communications protocols. Maintained network relays and gateways
between the Internet and international corporate networks. Wrote
internal and external documentation.

- Provided technical support for diverse research in many
areas on both Unix and Macintosh platforms.
- Installed and supported MIME based electronic mail tools.
- Implemented MIME display code for Brent Welch's exmh mail
program in tk/tcl.
- Brought up new wide area network services including FTP,
HTTP, and WAIS while maintaining the security of the
corporate network.
- Developed HTML documents for the new Web site.
- Taught research staff how to present data on the World
Wide Web using HTML.
- Worked with International Liaison Office to convert data
