As needed, my friends, clients, other contractors, and I, attend a happy hour somewhere in Austin. You might wonder how we coordinate this. We do it through the magic of email. There is a distribution list at deepeddy that you may subscribe to by sending email to happyhour-subscribe@deepeddy.com.
Anybody in Austin who is willing to drink with me and/or my friends is welcome to the list. Our criteria for picking happy hour spots is mostly based on music. We don't look for cheap food and we don't look for pickup joints. We do like to go dive diving.

We like good beer and consider brewpubs evidence that Austin is becoming more civilized.
One of our favorite places is the Continental Club (particularly on Happy Tuesday) and enjoy occasional trips to the Carousel Lounge and similar places.
