I am a native San Franciscan who somehow ended up in Austin, Texas. I like Austin. They say the only thing that's wrong with Austin is that it's surrounded by Texas. I have to agree.

So...you want to know who I am, eh? Well, let start with how you pronounce my last name.

If you can pronounce my name, then you might want to drink with me.

My many "accomplishments" include contributing to The Unix Hater's Handbook.

I'm also interested in Genealogy and have converted my GEDCOM database to HTML so it can be read on the WEB.

I use PGP to sign many of my messages.

My musical tastes are very varied, and music is one of the reasons that I live in Austin. I used to have a list of favorite bands here, but the links kept going bad, so I removed it. I may put it back some day.

Politically, I'm an unabashed liberal.

What follows is no longer true, but it was enough fun to write that I'm leaving it in.

These days there are three women in my life (other than my mother). Cindy introduced me to my girlfriend, who grew up overseas. They're both state employees. Both Carla and my dance partner are pickup-driving Texans. Regina and my roommate are both brunettes.
